Lizard

Hemidactylus sp.

Description:

Pale cream coloured with dark dots and squiggly marks arranged as regular stripes.

Habitat:

Plant nursery. It darted out of the bushes or maybe from under the potted plants and climbed up the wall.

Notes:

Looks like the ordinary house gecko but it is the striped pattern that is intriguing me. Hemidactylus has many species....The common house gecko (Hemidactylus frenatus) which shares my home usually has a pale skin...darker versions abound outside in my garden and in my letterbox (ever since email took over!) . But this one is different.
