Comment above deceptive... what I mean is the date on your photo is for today.... you definitely saw and photographed beautifully this Swallowtail! The guidebook says that the ones with the blue spots are females.

Great eye! No I did not, this picture was taken in late this past summer in beavercreek Ohio. I have the Noah project app on my phone, it has quite a few problems, and it can be quite unresponsive at times; so I'm still working to get the dates and whatnot correct. Are you having this problem also? Anyway thank you for the suggestion I have trouble with scientific names!
