Red Bush-cricket

Psorodonotus sp.

Description:

A species of Psorodonotus, it's a big red katydid with underdeveloped yellow wings. I'm not sure about this species as there is limited info that I can reach online. Several alternatives, however I've come to think it's the P.illyricus since it fit's the general geographical area. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations...

Habitat:

Sutjeska National Park is the largest and oldest national park in Bosnia and Hercegovina, it's located in the provins of Srpska Republik close to the south-east border to Montenegro. It was established in 1962 as the first declared national park in Bosnia, and within, Perućica forest reserve that was established in 1952 for scientific and educational purposes, where one could easily find trees that are over 300 years old and a variety of rare and endangered species. It's one of the two remaining primeval forests of Europe.

Notes:

this specimen was spotted at 1000-1300 meter above sea-level.
