Lovely find, naturelover!
The Brown-bordered Geometer (Eumacaria madopata) does have some similarities but I think the Large Lace-border is a closer match. You were certainly on the right track Ingrid!

Its definitely a geometer moth of some kind. The species I suggested is close but may not be the right one.
I use BOOKS more than the web. The field would not let me add a book!
