Black rat snake

pantherophis obsoletus

Description:

He was in very bad shape. One eye looked crushed. Couldn't close his mouth all the way, it looked like it was swollen and full of infection. His back half looked kinda kinked and twisted. He was probably five foot long. He was out sunning on a rocky hill top. Was around 68F.

Habitat:

Limestone shelves in a hill.

Notes:

I know it's not a great picture, but was using my phone camera and I didn't want to stress him out any more than he already was.
