Alliaria petiolata
The flowers are produced in spring in small clusters. Each small flower has four white petals. The fruit is an erect, slender, four-sided capsule called a silique. The leaves smell like garlict when crushed. The plant is also called poor man's mustard. Before flowering the leaves can be finely chopped and used in salads, sauces, soups and on sandwiches. The seeds can be dried, crushed and used as a spice.
