Fregata magnificens
The magnificent frigatebird is a large black bird. It is about three feet in length and has a wingspan of over seven feet. In the breeding season, males have a bright red throat pouch. Females have white throats and bellies. The frigatebird has a long gray bill with a hooked tip. It has a deeply forked, scissor-like tail and sharply pointed wings. Immature Description Juvenile similar to adult female, but head entirely white, blending with white chest. Legs, feet, and bill light bluish gray.
