Adult male is Silvery white, metallic black crested head, two long , narrow ribbon like feathers in tail. Young and female chestnut above, greyish white below, chestnut streamers in tail lacking in female.
Well wooded areas, forest, gardens. Shady groves, light deciduous jungle, bamboo ravines.
