Selaginella wildenowii
delicate fern like leaves, iridescent blue color seen at certain angles
rainforest
I spotted this in Thaleh Ban National park in southern Thailand. I 've never seen anything like this with reflected blue fronds in the sun.
Sorry, Dan. But you have to cook it first! Its better, but if you wanna try some, no problem.
Edible too? Hmmm, I'm heading to Thailand tomorrow. I will have to keep an eye out for it. I've always wondered what blue tastes like! Thanks for liking my spottings and website. I do love adventure! Where is your hometown in Indonesia?
You're welcome Dan! and that fern is edible. Btw, I like much your spotting and website too. You must be a real adventurer! don't forget to visit my hometown, hehe :)
Thanks Wendy for the ID. It's cool to find out what this is after seeing it so many years ago.
This is another resources for Selaginella wildenowii (Peacock fern). There you can find why they are reflecting blue color from the leaves. http://tungkinfoongsblog.blogspot.com/20...
