Small butterfly with dull whitish on the under wings. The markings on the top are brighter. Red eyes. Some blue on the top of the wings. Size is about 14 mm.
Everywhere in our area on little plants and shrubs.
Ubiquitous.

Thanks, Joseph!
I think the color is a blue. It gets into the folded wing position so fast that in a few other photo's I see a light blue. The photos are backed up on the hard drive right now and I will have to search. MediyansyahTaharani :)
The Parc National's in the North East are very good I hear. That would be Nosy Be to Sambava or Antananarivo to Sambava and up towards Andapa.
Travel companies arrange trips and if you are coming in a group that may be the way to go. Night trips would be interesting. Advice from anyone else?
Thanks, Alice. So pretty
We call the flowers "Crown of Thorns"
Joseph, I will be going to Madagascar. I will only have 7 or 8 days there so would appreciate any tips on where to go for the most variety of animals.
The flowers are pretty, too
Are the other side of wings (that unseen in the photo) darker colored?
No wonder it was flying around in the early morning daylight.
It is a Hairstreak butterfly, but I have not determnined which variety.
Unfortunately I don't know the name of the moth but the plant is Euphorbia milii.
