Wintergreen - Thé des bois

Gaultheria procumbens

Aromatic evergreen plant with erect, branched stems up to 15 cm tall. Flowers are solitary, white, nodding, with a 5-lobed urn-shaped corolla. July to August.

Moist to dry forests. I find them often in rocky areas where lichen and moss grow.
