Red-winged Blackbird

Agelaius phoeniceus

Description:

Glossy black body with bright red & yellow/buff wing patches. Quite pleased with himself, overall.

Habitat:

Perched in a young tree in an urban waterfront park in Etobicoke (Toronto), Ontario.

Notes:

Spotted at 3:30pm. He was doing what male Red-winged Blackbirds do best this time of year - making a lot of noise. :)
