Description:

These are pretty little ducks with males in chestnut and gray colors with numerous white spots and lines.

Habitat:

These ducks tend to live in rushing rivers, swimming in rapids. These particular ducks were photographed at LeHardy Rapids in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.

Yes, I really wanted to catch the feeling of the place where these ducks live so was using a shutter speed of about a half second to blur the water. Of course, the ducks didn't want to stand still...grin. Had to take a lot of photos to get one where the ducks were fairly sharp.

Oh this is really nice, I like the composition and the effect on the rapids (slow shutter speed?). They are very pretty ducks!
