unidentified mushrooms

Description:

Four past-their-prime saffron mushrooms with orange gills. The largest was approximately 2 inches in diameter.

Habitat:

Tropical lowland coastal valley.

Notes:

Spotted on a decaying log at the edge of a pasture in Kahana Valley on Windward Oahu. Detailed measurements not taken. These specimens bear some resemblance to Lentinus ciliatus Lev., but the color is wrong, which appears to rule out that species.
