Email answer from Nick from www.lifeunseen.com (Great Web page!) ...
I can tell you it is a leaf beetle from the family Chrysomelidae, and I believe it may be from the subfamily Eumolpinae or Galerucinae, but that is as close I can get.

According to the ABRS Australian Faunal Directory, the genus Gastrophysa does not occur in Australia as it is endemic to Europe.

I still believe this beetle belongs in the family Chrysomelidae. The genus Cyphon belongs to the family Scirtidae.

These small, green chrysomelid leaf eating beetles are difficult to put to genus. I have had another look and it could be in the genus Colaspoides. Cheers

Right family - wrong genus. I think it is Edusella.
