Hippeastrum hybrida (Family Amaryllidaceae, subfamily Amaryllidoideae)
Giant trumpet shaped flowers in a variety of colours - white, pink, orange and red; several striped varieties available.
Native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas from Argentina north to Mexico and in the Caribbean. Grows from bulbs, outdoors in temperate regions, indoors elsewhere.
These plants are popularly but erroneously known and sold as Amaryllis. The tree in the background is a Bottlebrush tree (Callistemon)

Just as I joined Project Noah my camera broke!! I will try to get a close up when I replace it, Ashish.
