Monoceleted Cobra

Naja naja

Description:

Extremly varied in coloration and markings. Spectacled Cobra is yellowish, brownish or black above, with or without a black and white marking on the hood, a black and white spot on the inside of the hood. Monocellate Cobra differs in having only a single yellow 'O' shaped mark on the hood. General colour olive, brown or black.

Habitat:

Found almost everywhere, it prefers old masonary construction, ant nests, holes in the ground or tangle of roots at the base of a tree. Frequently found near or in water.
