Ptyas mucosus

Description:

Dorsally olive brown, sometimes as dark as sepia or a light mustard yellow. Uniform or scales on the posterior part irregularly margined with black forming a reticulate pattern with tendency to form crossbars.

Habitat:

It is a diurnal snake but in very populated areas may not be seen in daytime. It is very good at swimming, climbing and diving. Normally tries to escape but if provoked and cornered, attacks with courage and determination.
