Mycena chlorophos
Tiny mushroom approx 2-3mm diameter of the cap. Emits faint glow visible during the night. A cluster of these would be very noticeable.
Rainforest. Usually found on rotting bamboo.
The locals call these 'Cendawan Bulan' which in Malay means Lunar Mushroom.
Why does it glow? I mean: for what purpose? What is the function of lts light?
For example to attract insects that help spreading spores?
