Description:

Screech owls typically nest from around February-June. This owlet is a very young to be this late in the season but is doing fine. If we are able to find his nest cavity he will be put back with his family. These owls are found all over central FL and make great urban residence eating small insects, cockroaches, lizards, and mice

Habitat:

Open forest, forest edge, and grassland with scattered trees. Also do well in urban areas were many trees are present
