Description:

A low herbaceous shrub. What looks like the flower are actually leaves. The four white “petals” are bracts, that resemble flower petals. Clustered in the center of these four white bracts are the numerous tiny white to greenish to purplish flowers of the dwarf dogwood.

Habitat:

Woods, tundra, and low alpine areas
