Description:

A Yellowjacket Hoverfly, a member of the Syrphidae family of flies, feeding on Swamp Rose flowers (Rosa palustris). Related Resource: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swamp_rose Editor's Note: I saw the coolest insect at Huntley Meadows Park yesterday. I've never seen anything like it.
