Description:

Ornamental water plant. White, forked inflorescence with small (ca 0.5 in diameter) one-petalled flowers with purple-brown anthers. Blooms in winter-early spring. Dies back during summer and tubers sprout in fall-winter to produce new leaves and flowers. Leaves oblong up to 8-9 inches in length.

Habitat:

Growing in shallow water container in domestic garden.

Notes:

Native to South Africa.
