Description:

Medium sized dragonfly. Mature males have a pale bluish-white abdomen and a blue-black thorax and head. Wings are transparent with broad black patches. They often rest on the ground. Females have a different wing pattern and lack the white abdomen.

Habitat:

Pocahontas State Park, Virginia.
