I updated the photo, and added the ripe fruit. 2nd Photo on first day of fall.
it is rich in Copper. Great tasting fruit!
Yes, That is what I was told today! It will be ripe in the fall! I guess people make jelly or jam with this in Florida.
BTW ,if this is the tree you are thinking of eating from, then they are green and in the raw stage.
The ripened fruits are a rich orange .
They are awesome in taste, Sweet of course. If not eaten at the right time ,then can be watery and bland tasting!
Wow, I wonder if I should try it now! Is it sour or sweet?
I have no problems at all with the round ones!
The other variety , I feel that way ,"Only If I eat too fast.'
It makes You feel like choking. Thats sounds like a food allergy!
No, I do not! This one is growing wild, My buddy at work pointed it out today, I have never had one, it is not ripe now, but perhaps in the fall, I will try one!
Do you have one? How do they taste?
Do you own one?
The best persimmons I have eaten were the ones sold at Longs Drugs, our local pharmacy.
The round variety is tastier . There is something about the other variety. If you eat it to fast ,it makes me feel like choking.....
