Well, the best way to get as close as you can to them is to stay really close to the feeder, and just wait, watch them play\fight and perform their beautiful maneuvers.. and take pictures while u'r there.. :)

beautiful --We have Antillean crested hummingbirds where I'm at I would love to get a picture of...Any suggestions? (I have a Nikon D40)
