Atlantic Puffin at Machias Seal Island
perfect photos,beautiful bird,congratulations
Wonderful photos! I saw some puffins when I was up in Scotland for some research, but as we were in such a big boat, they were scared off before I could get a decent shot. Nothing like these!! I love puffins, I was happy just to see them, but I would have been over the moon to get pictures like these! Bravo!
Great shots!Luck = preparation + opportunity
That first shot is just amazing, the surface of the water as well as the bird itself. A great spotting!
wuaw good picture
Often these shots are the result of being in the right place at the right time and being prepared. It's difficult to plan one like this unless you're seeing the same action occurring over and over. When I shot this, I was seeing different sea birds taking off from the water so it was just a matter of catching one at the right moment.
This is the exact shot I spent hours trying to get at the Isle of May!
I added a couple new pictures of this species.
This is a great capture of a curious bird :)
Thank you, Dragan. I particularly like the water drops flying off the bird as it had just taken off from the surface of the ocean. The reflection on the water helps, too.
This is one great photograph !
