its look like Bromeliaceae not Orchidaceae. But, another picture showing the whole plant would be helpful

That looks right, but this (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Costus_como...) says that those are native only to the Americas. They are both very pretty photos; nice job.

+1 on the bromeliad suggestion. Genus looks like it is probably Guzmania.
