My daughter has Guineas on her farm in VA. The feather they shed are so pretty.

These are Guineafowl. There are several species of these birds and I don't know for sure which one this is. Since they are originally from Africa, these are likely domesticated Guineafowl. Many domestic varieties are descended from Helmeted Guineafowl. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guineafowl
