Minnows

Description:

These are basically about half inch to an inch, and never more than 1/4 inch wide. They are golden, silver, or brown usually. They can eat mosquito larvae. Minnow is a general term used to refer to small freshwater and saltwater fish, especially those used as bait fish or for fishing bait. Habitat:

Marsh and freshwater creek, spring fed in part. These minnows were living in a feeder stream for Turkey Creek, Niceville, Florida. There is a nature walk , called Turkey Creek Walk, in the marsh area in and around the mouth of Turkey Creek which flows into Boggy Bayou which flows into Choctawhatchee Bay which flows into the Gulf of Mexico or through the Destin East Pass and then to the Gulf of Mexico.
