Eastern Tiger Swallowtail

Papilio glaucus

Description:

This guy just happened to flutter in front of me while I was holding my camera. Unfortunately, I think he was hurt because even though I got extremely close he would only flutter and move a little.

That's possible. The thing was that it seemed to try to move away, but stopped like it couldn't, but that just could be me ;)

I have seen these in my yard and sometimes they just sit and don't move much. Then they fly away...so maybe it wasn't hurt.
