Amaurornis Phoenicurus
White chest feathers with dark brown feathers at the head and back.
It lives beside swamps and in the thickets near rice paddies. It feeds in the a.m. from 7:30 until 9:00 and then rests during mid day. It feeds again at mid afternoon.
They are elusive and come out of their nest under the thick grasses only when they think no one is nearby. Once they hear voices or sense movement, they run and hide.
