Tawny Mole Cricket

Scapteriscus vicinu

Notes:

I rear caterpillars for a living. I have eaten crickets and meal worms. I have handled hissing cockroaches, tarantulas and giant African millipedes. Mole crickets still give me the willies.

I don't know why but these little things creep me out a lot!

The first time I saw one of these, one of the cats had brought it in and I thought it was the oddest looking creature I have ever seen! They bring 'roaches in all the time, I can deal with those, but I agree - these are just weird! Great pictures, though. :)
