Its a very interesting bird, with no satisfying evolutionary hipothesis. The chicks have a kind of claw in the wings to move around the branches. It is usually found near water.

What a neat action shot! I hadn't heard of these birds until just now, they are pretty cool looking :D
I saw many of them in Brazil as well. They are a unique bird.
