Green Bug

Description:

This green bug was delicate and small measuring about 5 mm in length. It appeared to have a long stabbing rostrum, seen folded in pic 2 and straight down in pic 1. The body showed tinges of red. A dorsal view was not possible because it was very active but I could see clear wings and a slightly broad thorax. Antennae showed a slight thickening about a third down from the tip ( or two-thirds up from base). Eyes showed vertical stripes (?) The leaves on which I found the bug showed small patches of rounded scaring- not sure if this is related to the bug.

Habitat:

Spotted on a plant ( I am yet to find out the species) in a nature reserve.

Notes:

The head parts of this delicate bug did not look like that of an assassin bug. I am wondering if this is a plant bug but why the long stabber??. Have been looking for matches but cannot find any. So don't have an ID yet. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
