A beautiful tawny-peach coloured moth about 10 mm long ( wing span about 20 mm). Wings were slightly tented but appeared like silken folds. The tornus area showed tinges of grey. Head smooth and pale. Eyes were large and pale bluish grey. Peach coloured labial palps were re-curved. Legs were pale with short setae.
Spotted on a leptospermum bush
This moth matched the pale pinkish bark of the leptospermum bush. Although quite co-operative, it was difficult to get more shots of this moth because of the unwieldy short thick twigs. A stunning moth - I haven't been able to find a match. Need to keep looking for an ID..

Thanks Luis. I did not think that it would be so beautiful when it flew past me and landed on the bush near by. I was lucky to get any photos at all !
Great find Leuba!
