Dorsal looks a bit bright for that Banstie!
It wouldn't be a silver spotted skipper would it?
I was going by the patterning on the wings. In my book the small skipper seems to be plain. But it certainly wasn't a large butterfly. Male and female difference may be?
Perhaps size comparison then?
Mmm, I'm sorry you said that. I was favouring Large Skipper, but I'm only going by my trusty Collins Gem.
What about Small -Thymelicus sylvestris?
