Description:

Black oval shell that is relatively flattened, colorful underside extensively marked with yellow, red or orange. Some individuals may not have have the extensive pattern on the underside. Red and yellow on the neck, tail and legs.

Habitat:

Slow moving water such as ponds, backwaters and shallow streams.
