Sycamore Seed Bug

Belonochilus numenius

Description:

Small true bug, has red eyes, spots of brown on its pronotum and scutellum, a white line down the center of the head and continuing to the thorax.

Habitat:

Forest

Notes:

Not on a sycamore, but there were many in the area. This bug has recently been introduced into Europe. The last two pictures are for scale. Found at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
