Truly. I joined project Noah later that summer hence the late date but it was indeed spring when I shot the photo.

I think you're right. Looks like a double flowered cherry, maybe Kwanzan cherry

I believe it is in early spring?

this is just a quess - it could be cherry blossom? or maybe almond tree blossom? I don´t know
