Nymphaea lotus var. thermalis
growing at a resort, Baile Felix, in a thermal water pond (since the resort was buildt in the 50ies). Fortunately it is the only one remaining Sp. of the Egyptian White Water-lily growing in Europe as an endemic species since the last ice age.

yeah these pictures show more of the habitat - I like that too... I usually concentrate on one thing, if I already had an overview
I really like flowers as you shown with leafs. Not concentrated only on flower that is important in my view.

I natural habitat some kind of Moorhens stay on their petals.

I just found out, that the german Wikipedia names my birthtown (Oradea) as the european origin of this plant. :D I´m quite excited right now!
