A 0.5cm (0.2 inch) long beetle. Bright metallic blue.

Habitat:

They come in the hundreds to our patch of buzzies (acaena novae zelandiae) every year to mate.

Don't they though. ;) I keep seeing the occasional straggler who apparently missed out on the mass breeding event.
