I agree wolf spider, markings look like the Rabid Wolf, but I have an east coast perspective ;)
Looks like a wolf spider. Interestingly enough, I read an article recently that said that arachnids have "extra" legs (8 versus the 6 on insects) so that they can lose one or two and still function properly.
