Black Egg Bird's Nest

Description:

tiny cuplike fungi growing on a live pine tree root emerging from a granite sand bank. Each 'cup' has what appears to be 'seeds' in it. Each 'seed' is approx 2mm diameter and the cup structure is about 5mm width, 7mm height.
