Description:

Is this a golfball mushroom or something else? Several of the specimens were larger than the few I pictured here. The cap was dry and I believe the spores were the white specks on the ground around them (that can be seen in the picture above). The next day, these mushrooms opened up (like an umbrella) and looked a lot like the last picture.
