I guess what you gave is the right one...what is the common name for this....http://mandysmlee.multiply.com/photos/album/40#photo=1 this one resembles.Also When I took the Shot the wings looked the same as they are in this pics....thanks alot

Have you checked out other species that look like this? Because there are many species in this family that look quite the same at first glance.

Steam Glory does not really look like this one. Females shjould have two white spots on the wings and males have much darker wings.

Looks like a (female of) Calopteryx species. I do not know which Calopteryx species there are in India.

You might be missing on the photo an important part for ID. The upper part of the wing with the location of the pseudopterostigma. At least in European species that gives an important clue for species ID.
