Cyrestis lutea lutea

Description:

Orange wings with thin dark-brown straight lines that together with the horizontal wing veins form a grid of squares, darker at the upper forewing edges and blue-grey spots at end hindwing, stripped thorax and abdomen.

Habitat:

Spotted during a raining morning walk at Kebun Raya Cibodas, a 80ha area above 1.400 metres high, mix of botanical park with big trees & palms and surrounded by rainforest at the foot of Gene volcano, Java - Indonesia. Cyrestis lutea lutea It is only found in Indonesia. Cyrestis lutea lutea (Java) / Cyrestis lutea doliones (Bali)
