Jumping Spider

Phintella Versicolor

Description:

A Male Phintella Versicolor (Multi colored phintella). About 7mm. Major body color is black with white spots on the face and the legs. The white patch beneath the anterior median eyes looks like a moustache. Profound yellow stripes on the abdomen. Beautiful red fangs.

Habitat:

Grasses and undergrowth. Throughout the tropical Asia.

Notes:

Spotted this one for the first time and probably first sighting in Bangladesh. Could not locate the female.. :-(

Thank you Jonathan! Well your spotting is fabulous!! It is a jumping spider for sure but it would be hard for me to suggest a definite ID. My study and cross-matching work has majorly been on the Asian Species. But I'll certainly look for any close match.. :-)
