Black/Red Slug

Arion rufus

Description:

Found crawling around in a blackberry thicket. I picked him up and left him on the table until he started crawling around again so I could get a good shot.

Notes:

This could just as easily be a Arion ater, the two species are difficult to tell apart. Calling it the arion rufus for now because of the red striping on it's foot.
