Chaffinch

Fringilla coelebs

Description:

I scattered seed on the Balcony to bring the birds to a place I could take a picture. Except for a dove, this was the only one that would stay and eat, not grab and run like the Tits.. The Bird's bill is finch like, and except for the white on the wing has little marking.

Habitat:

Croatia, a dry temperate area along the Adriatic Sea.

Alice, I'd say this is a female Chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs). The most abundant European bird, they migrate south at fall.
